Privacy Policy

Effective: March 29, 2026

Nostalgex turns your Plex library into live TV channels. We designed it to work without collecting personal data.

Summary

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information about you. Nostalgex does not run analytics, does not create user accounts, and does not sell or rent data.

Information stored on your device

Nostalgex stores a few items locally on your Apple TV (for example, in standard device storage such as UserDefaults) so it can connect to your Plex server and remember your setup:

This information stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to share it (for example, by emailing support).

Services the app connects to

When the app uses TMDB and Supabase for enrichment and caching, it uses media identifiers and metadata needed to match items correctly (for example, movie/show identifiers). We do not send your Plex username/password, your Plex library contents, or your viewing history to our systems.

Tracking

Nostalgex does not use tracking across apps and websites for advertising or measurement purposes.

What we don’t do

Authentication

Nostalgex uses Plex's own authentication system. Your Plex credentials are handled entirely by Plex. We never see your username or password. The auth token Plex provides is stored locally on your Apple TV using standard device storage.

Data retention

Because we do not collect personal information, we do not maintain personal data for retention purposes. Data stored on-device remains until you remove the app, reset the app, or clear device storage.

Your choices

Children's privacy

We don't collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update it here with a new effective date. Given that we collect nothing, changes are unlikely.
